Do I still have a blog?
I guess the obvious answer is yes. This blog appears to still be here, still let me in, still let me post The blog exists, even if it has been left unattended for four years or so.
Why was it left unattended?
The short answer is that i have no idea. There is still a draft post that i started in 2018, so I must have intended on coming back. I cant blame covid because that was two years too late. I’ve had lots of ideas I could have blogged, lots of things I’ve made long posts to Facebook about or talked to friends about, or preached about, so it isn’t lack of material. I think some will have been the pressure of finishing my MA at the same time we were working on the house. Then, having had a break, it seems that to restart needs to be intentional.
Do I have more questions to post?
Really? Do you know me? Of course, I always have questions. That hasn’t changed and I can’t see it ever doing so. Questions are part of my character. I like to know, I like to find out, I like to make my own mind up, and I hate decisions. There are always questions, world without end.
Are the changes to WordPress causing a problem?
Yes. That’s why I asked that question. It’s all different. It has these things called blocks to make a post up with. I can’t see how to change the style of headers or how to insert pictures. (Think I may have got it!) I’ll learn, no doubt, but it will be fun and no doubt cause me to shout at my computer. I’m writing this on my ipad and there is a lag between touching a letter on my keyboard and it appearing on screen. That makes typos hard to spot.
What have I been doing for four years?
Too much to answer briefly. I will be updating my who/what/why/where/when pages over the next week or so.
What am I going to question next?
Oh, so many ideas. I have questions about a recent letter to the Secretary of State about conversion therapy by some evangelical churches. That needs writing, and in the meantime I might rewrite some other things in a format suitable for posting here. There are thoughts about mental health, about the Bible, about faith, about women, about church history, about worship, about things I read. I could quite happily yarn about all kinds of things. I’d also like to make some shorter posts, to ask questions without answers, without opinions, to post some more fun questions, to post some quotes. There will be some new posts over the next few days. Possibly even later today!
In the meantime, if you want to ask me a question, just ask away in the comments
